BLAINE, WASHINGTON

WELCOME TO BLAINE YOUTH SPORTS

Blaine Youth Sports is a non-profit organization that began in 2018 with the purpose of providing youth sports opportunities to grades K-8.

Our current programs offered include football, volleyball, cheer, basketball and wrestling.  Blaine Youth Sports has no affiliation with the Blaine School District.

Prior to the creation of BYS, there was no consistent youth sports program in Blaine for kids younger than middle school and we relied on the Boys & Girls club for youth sports.  As evident by school districts like Lynden and Meridian, youth sports programs are the foundation of success at the high school level.  That has always been the goal of BYS.  Develop our youth at a young age so they can succeed at the high school level.

Thank you to Blaine-Birch Bay Parks & Rec!

T-Ball Season Information

Thanks for your patience as we have been working through the details of the season!  Practices will start next week!

Thank you to Sean Miller, our new baseball and softball director, who has graciously volunteered his time to take over the Baseball/Softball/T-Ball program from the Akre's at the Pacific Building Center. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the season, you should reach out to him directly at byskidsofsummer@yahoo.com rather than emailing the Blaine Youth Sports account.

Thank you to our volunteer coaches who have agreed to coach this season!  We cannot run this program without you.  You are rock stars and we thank you!

Below (and attached) you will find the rosters for each team as well as coach information.
  • Practices take place at Pipeline Fields off of Pipeline Rd in Blaine starting next week.  Practice days and times are listed above each roster.  Meet near the concession stand on the first day of your practice.
  • What to bring to practice: Players should dress warm!  It is usually quite a bit colder at the fields, so wearing layers is good.  If your child already has some baseball gear (glove, bat, helmet), that is great.  Please bring the gear with you to practice, but none of this is required and we have a good supply of gear if your child needs something - Please inquire with Sean. Players should bring their own water bottle. Shoes will likely get wet and muddy, so please plan accordingly.
  • Porta Potties are available to use at the field.
  • Rain-outs:  This time of the year it will be common for practice to be cancelled due to the rain.  If the fields are closed due to rain, we will post it on social media and coaches will also communicate this to you as well.
  • Games:  We will play our own Blaine teams in Blaine.  Stay tuned for the game schedule.
  • Supervision: If you have a "spirited" child who needs help staying on task, we ask that you stay close by and help redirect their attention.  One parent/guardian should always be at the field with their child during practice.  Please do not drop off and leave.
